A heat pump in 70% of European homes by 2030!

Heat pumps are taking Europe by storm! By 2030, a whopping 14 million units (a Heat Pump in 70% of European Homes) are predicted to be installed across the continent of which 10 million will be hydronic heat pumps, a surge from the 2 in 10 homes equipped today. Daikin, a key player in this arena, is powering up production to meet this increasing demand.


This massive growth has been fueled by an eco-conscious Europe, propelled by the Green Deal and REPowerEU plan. In fact, 2022 saw 1.6 million heat pump installations, and experts predict this number will rise to 3.5 million annually as more households make the switch from gas.


Further stirring up excitement, Daikin revealed its latest innovation, the Altherma 4, at the largest international HVAC event, ISH 2023. The launch underlines Daikin's commitment to a greener future and positions the company at the forefront of renewable heating technologies.
