The US-based Lindrs app went live on Play Store in October 2021. It serves as a peer-to-peer tool-sharing marketplace that connects tool owners with tool renters. The app showcases tools that are available for rent 24/7 at rates and terms that are more competitive than big box stores. Users can view rental requests, current rentals, completed rentals, and other details. The app is free to download and use with no ads, but users have to pay to rent tools.
Hilti, one of the biggest tool manufacturer launched a similar app recently as well.
