Joe Doucet x Partners’ Wind Turbine Wall is a domestic wind energy solution designed to help consumers build sustainable energy sources into their homes. When the wind blows through the wall of rotary blades, it provides mechanical power which turns electric generators. The resultant energy can be used domestically or fed back into the national grid as a source of revenue. The France-based studio’s stand-alone fixture requires far less land than traditional wind turbines and doesn’t pose a threat to wildlife (which is sometimes caught in turbines’ propellers). Joe Doucet x Partners unveiled the concept in October 2021.
