Some customers leasing Ford F-150 Lightning electric trucks will benefit from lower monthly payments in exchange for sharing power with the grid at peak times, under a deal between Ford and Duke Energy. The move marks an attempt to reward early EV adopters who have invested in bi-directional charging infrastructure in their homes, allowing them to supply energy back to the grid.
