A "new" government subsidy program following a period of no support that discouraged many people from starting a new project and renovation
The New Green Savings programe supports the replacement of heat sources with a biomass boiler, biomass stove, heat pump, heat pump in combination with photovoltaics and connection to the heat supply system for family houses. It is possible to obtain a subsidy of CZK 30 to 140 thousand per family house. For residential houses, biomass boilers, heat pumps, connection to the heat supply system and combined production of electricity and heat are supported. A subsidy of CZK 10 to 40 thousand per housing unit is available.
New Green Savings Light supports energy saving measures for low-income households. It is intended for old-age and disability pensioners and for people in receipt of housing benefit. The New Green Savings Light programme supports measures on single-family homes or on buildings intended for family recreation used for permanent family housing.
An extension to apartment buildings is foreseen in the second half of 2023. The insulation of the building envelope, the replacement of windows and entrance doors and the installation of a solar or photovoltaic water heating system are supported. A subsidy of 90 thousand crowns can be obtained for a solar system.
