Opening the opportunity for heating and cooling in heat pump ready radiators and UFH with Emolux Tec

By: Michael Rimm

New generation of heat pump ready radiators (with fan) create need for special valves (high flow) and thermostatic sensors. Same for UFH (Emolux technology)

  • Heat Pump Ready Radiators with Fans: Heat pump ready radiators are designed to work efficiently with heat pump systems, which operate at lower water temperatures compared to traditional heating systems. The addition of fans in these radiators helps to distribute heat more evenly and improve overall performance. However, the higher flow rate and increased heat output of these radiators require specific valves to handle the flow of water effectively. High-flow valves are designed to accommodate the increased water volume and prevent any pressure drops, ensuring the radiator receives an adequate amount of hot water. Additionally, the integration of a thermostatic sensor is crucial for temperature control. The thermostatic sensor measures the ambient temperature and adjusts the radiator's fan speed accordingly. This allows for precise temperature regulation and energy efficiency.

  • UFH with Emolux Technology: UFH systems, particularly those utilizing Emolux technology, provide efficient and comfortable heating by circulating warm water through underfloor pipes. Similar to heat pump ready radiators, UFH systems require specific valves to handle the increased water flow and pressure associated with heat pump operation. Additionally, thermostatic sensors play a crucial role in UFH systems. These sensors are placed strategically to monitor the temperature of the floor and adjust the water flow accordingly. This ensures that the floor maintains a consistent and comfortable temperature, enhancing the overall performance and energy efficiency of the UFH system.

In summary, the new generation of heat pump ready radiators with fans and UFH systems often necessitate special valves designed for high flow rates and thermostatic sensors for precise temperature control. These components ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and comfort in heating systems using these advanced technologies.
