Stanford Alpaca (like ChatGPT) pulled off the market

The Stanford developed Large Language AI Model Alpaca, similar to OpenAI's ChatGPT was pulled down from the internet following concerns over costs to upkeep & its "hallucinations".


The team at Stanford developed Alpaca in an attempt to prove that low cost training models (they say they spent only $600) could be developed. But the model they created suffered from the typical problems of generative AI - making up answers which have no basis in truth.
